Supply London is designed to provide flexible, relevant, in-depth support to your company to maximise your potential of winning new contracts.

Food sector relevance
Though the primary focus of the project is on how to win public sector contracts, the principles you will learn can equally apply to the commercial sector.
Why might you be interested in public sectors? Because public tenders for supplies and services do get advertised. These are example tenders that are advertised in your sector.

Supplies: Meat and meat products, fruit and vegetables, food and beverages

Services: Catering services for meetings, events and cafe services.

The boroughs of Southwark and Hackney, for example, recently tendered for cafe services this year

The programme is primarily designed for companies that have a turnover of more than £100,000 that have been trading for at least 2 years, and offers

1 to 1 support and assistance with bids and tenders- Supply London clients are assigned an adviser who is available to help your company with bids, tenders and Pre-qualification questionnaires

Where to find opportunities, requirements places on suppliers, the tendering process

How to define your market, understand and explain your USP

Casflow, sales v profit, understanding how the public sector will score your accounts

Understanding contracts, tax and raising finance- content includes
Negotating subcontract agreements, key clauses, managing disputes

Implementing a Quality Management System- content includes
What is quality, where to start and how to implement a system

Implementing an Environmental Management System- content includes
Why EMS is important, what should be included, developing your own EMS

Meet the Buyer events-To enable your company to meet with buyers that have specified an interest in sourcing new suppliers in your sector

Track record
From January 2007 to October 2009, Supply London assisted over 5000 businesses, ran over 230 workshops and events and helped clients win over £30million of new contracts.

In September 2009 we ran a bid writing workshop in partnership with The Food Network which received 100% excellent or very good ratings for the speakers. Comments from the day included " Wonderful presentations" and "greatly appreciated and very useful"
