The Local Food category has again been sponsored by Asda, reducing the cost of entry significantly in order to ensure small producers are able to put products forward.  This year too, Jan Matthews the Head of Catering and Cleaning , London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is judging on the Local Food Category, looking for a range of local products to have on offer at the Games in 2012.

'Our vision aims to seize the opportunity to use the transformational power of the Games to celebrate and promote the variety and quality of British Regional food: to inspire lasting, positive and sustainable change in the events, catering and hospitality sectors, and ot contribute to the growing public agenda on healthy living.'
